Cooking Time

25 minutes

Not nearly enough

1 cup almonds
1 cup walnuts
1 1/2 t cinnamon
1 t ground cloves
1 1/2 t ground ginger
1/2 t all-spice
1/2 t salt
1 t molasses
1 T maple syrup
2 t coconut oil, melted

Preheat the oven to 300 degrees. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Roast the almonds for seven minutes. Remove from oven, shake and add the walnuts. Roast for another seven minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool.

In the belly of a food processor or blender, add the nuts and blend, scraping the sides occasionally. This will take upwards of 15 minutes. When it becomes drippy, add the spices and sweeteners. Continue processing. The batter will ball up. Be patient and keep scraping down the sides. As it becomes runnier again, add the coconut oil, and keep processing. Once it reaches a drippy consistency, it's done!
